Mehmet Çelebi is a filmmaker based in Turkiye.

He grew up in Izmir and gratuated from dokuz Eylül University , Film Academy with a Cinematography degree. After graduation , he moved to Istanbul to work in the film business.

After working 10 years as an AD with many local and foreign directors ,, in 2007 , he made his debut with a documentary , ‘’ A Story About  Passion ‘’ which was shot fort he 100th anniversary of Fenerbahce , one of the biggest football clubs in Turkiye . He had the opportunity to work with the German director Tom Tykwer and actors Cliwe Owen and Naomi Watts in an American feature film ‘’The International ‘’ as a local Production Manager in 2009.

He did another documentary as a director ‘’ The Ottoman Empire – War Machine ‘’ for History Channel in 2010.

In 2011 , he produce a feature film ‘’ Çakal’’ as a Producer in 2011. The movie was nominated for the best picture , best actor and best editing in one of the biggest festivals in Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival.

He has been a director since 2011 , He has worked with many international brands like P&G , L’Oreal Paris , Avon , Audi , Mitsubishi and many local brands..

He received many awards in the local advertising festival ‘’Kristal elma ‘’ with his films.

In 2019 , His ‘’Momondo – Passport Initiative ‘’ case – study was shortlisted in ‘’ Cannes Lions International Festival ‘’

He did several music videos for Sertab Erener who is the winner of Eurovision .
