Imanol is a Spanish filmmaker, born in Madrid and raised in Gijón. The son of actors, he is a cheese lover.
He began his career directing fashion films, collaborating with major media platforms such as Vogue and brands like Yves Saint Laurent and Adolfo Domínguez. He has garnered significant awards for his fashion films “Haunted by Love” and “Europa II,” both for Vogue, winning Best Fashion Film and Best Director at the La Jolla International Film Festival and the Canadian International Film Festival, among others.
With his unique vision, Imanol soon attracted the attention of the advertising world, where he debuted with “Collisions” for Heart Ibiza, which earned him a place on the Cannes Lions shortlist.
His advertising work is distinguished by its fresh style of visual humor and the precise use of camera work, casting, styling, and art direction.
In fiction, Imanol has written and directed three short films with more than 200 official selections at international festivals that qualify for the Goya and Oscar Awards, and more than 70 awards in total.
